It was a perfect August summer day. And you are maybe questioning the date, because our last blog post was Emma\u2019s wedding on the same day. So, yes, we do two weddings per Saturday on any given weekend. It is a question I\u2019m asked often, and can say with confidence, that yes, we can absolutely do two. You see, Saturdays are THE day to get married so it\u2019s almost impossible not to have two on a Saturday during peak months. So side note, if you are a 2021 bride, you need to step lively I\u2019m afraid, because next year is going to be insane!<\/p>\n
Back to Liza and James! This is the quintessential classic, timeless Connecticut wedding! There is nothing nautical about it other than the gorgeous Sound views and the Sperry tent. Liza chose a mostly white and green floral scheme, with a hint of slate blue from the thistle and the tiniest touch of blush from the blushing bride proteas.<\/p>\n
There were other nods to blue but they were in the delicate china and individually named menu cards in a beautiful blue watercolor.<\/p>\n
Her bouquets stayed neutral in whites and greens because each of her maids wore a fabulous floral gown. That just made me so happy! I loved this bridal attire! It was so perfect for summer! And Liza was perfection in her classic gown carrying a timeless bouquet of white roses, dahlias, campanula, astilbe and ranunculus.<\/p>\n
We did add a pop of peaches and corals for their cocktail pieces giving their wedding a bit of color, but it was no match for that gorgeous sunset later in the evening.<\/p>\n
